We recently had to use Assisting Hands to care for our father, 90, who was immobile from a hip injury and also had dementia. We had started in mid-May until his passing on June 8th. They had sent a beautiful lady, Jaya, to care for our father. She was perfect and we never had to be concerned for dad when we left him with her for a few hours. She did everything as we would have done with loving care. Assisted Hands were always quick to accommodate our schedule. I highly recommend them if you find yourself in need of this service.

My husband has dementia, diabetes, low vision, and is wheelchair bound. The caregivers from Assisting Hands Home Care Lombard have been conscientious and respectful of his inabilities. They are cheerful and look for what extra things they might be able to do to make our life easier. They listen carefully to our needs and help us when we need to brainstorm alternate approaches. I highly highly recommend them to anyone in search of an agency that "sincerely cares" about the welfare of their clients.

I would give this agency a 5 star. They are very helpful with the care of my elderly parents. I would recommend this service agency. The home care specialists are loving and hands on. Caring for elderly loved ones at home can be stressful, especially with chronic conditions. Assisting Hands Home Care offers live-in and 24-hour services to ensure consistent support. Live-in care provides a caregiver who stays 3–4 days before rotating, offering daily assistance but resting at night. For continuous care, our 24-hour service assigns caregivers in 8–12 hour shifts, ensuring someone is always awake and attentive.

At Assisting Hands Lombard, all our caregivers are our employees and receive training that exceeds Illinois state requirements. Many are certified nursing assistants (CNAs), but all must complete our state-approved training course followed by hands-on orientation in our office.

We strive to keep the number of caregivers in your home to a minimum. The number of caregivers assigned depends on factors such as the scheduled shifts or hours per week, the complexity of care required, and your personal preferences.

Your preferences are a top priority when we create your schedule. We recommend giving a caregiver at least one full shift to assess compatibility. If they don’t feel like the right fit, we’re happy to provide another option.

Yes, we do state and national background checks and carry liability and workman’s comp insurance to insure that any liability is ours.
