As a caregiver child, and someone who lives out of state, I knew I needed to find a way to help my mom who had been living alone since my dad passed, and who needed more help with the daily activities. When I found Assisting Hands, I knew I had hit the jackpot. Although it took some convincing on my mom's part to accept having someone come into the home to help with meals, laundry or simply caring for herself, over time she came to love Gaby as much as we did. She provided such a sense of warmth, concern, and attention for my mom that allowed us a sense of peace when we were so far away.
